Ron Storn
Chief People Officer
LINKEDIN PROFILE

Ron is the Chief People Officer at Booster, the next generation of mobile energy for fleets, businesses, and consumers commencing with fuel. Most recently, Ron led the People function at KeepTruckin, a hyper growth startup on a mission to modernize the transportation industry, as its first Chief People Officer. He has over 20 years of experience leading recruiting and human resource teams at Fortune 500 Companies including Facebook, Google and Lyft. Ron started his career as a CPA at KPMG for five years before switching careers working for an international search firm as their branch manager for the Bay Area. His next career move led him to PriceWaterhouseCoopers, LLP as a Western Region Experience Recruiting Leader. Eventually, Ron founded his own boutique executive search firm, specializing in executive placements for emerging and mid-market companies, Targus Human Capital Partners. With the financial recession in the late 2000’s, Ron shut his business and went to work on the client side at Google. There he focused on Business Operations recruiting, the key projects for Eric Schmidt, and that department grew 4x during Ron’s tenure. Eventually leaving Google, Ron joined Facebook, where he managed Sales, Product Engineering, and Leadership Recruiting. One of his most notable roles though was leading the People function at Lyft, empowering company leaders and team members to achieve Lyft’s mission to improve people’s lives with the world’s best transportation. Joining Lyft in 2013, Ron grew the company from 80 to over 2,000+ team members, from one centralized office to three corporate offices and over 25 hubs nationwide, from operating a cumulative 1 million rides to 1 million rides per day, and from a GMV revenue run rate of $100M to $5.1B. Ron led the design and implementation of Lyft’s HR infrastructure, including innovative approaches to data-driven engagement and inclusion programming, performance assessment, and continuous feedback. As a culture leader, Ron ensured that Lyft’s founder-lead culture continued to keep pace with the company’s growth by championing the formation of company core values to help foster a differentiated and inspiring work environment. Following Lyft, Ron was the Chief People Officer at Zume Inc, a well-funded, hypergrowth startup disrupting the food delivery, automation, and logistics space. In addition to finding opportunities to lead, strategize, and foster teams at the companies he works for, Ron can also be heard on podcasts, webinars, or at industry conferences speaking about the future of work and other key HR topics such as culture, growth, and inclusion. He also enjoys helping startups grow by advising young companies in the people tech space.
